Don Valley Stadium is located between junction 34 of the M1 motorway and Sheffield town centre and is easily accessed by road and supertram from most areas of the city.It is less than two km from the Meadowhall shopping complex.It is an international athletics stadium and has also staged pop concerts including the Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson and the Spice Girls.It stages athletics events at all levels from local schools up to grand prix events.It is used for regular training by local and international athletes on a daily basis.In addition to the 400m IAAF certified outside track with 10 sprint lanes on the home straight there is an indoor 85m training venue with an eight lane 65m sprint lane.For athletics events the stadium has a capacity of 25,000 and for pop concerts, 50,000.The gymnasium is equipped with the latest standard of modern equipment supplied by 'Technogym' including a range of free-weights and and in addition there are two separate conditioning rooms. 360 Virtual Tour
