Sheffield is the training base of the England and Great Britain Basketball Squads with the National Governing Body, the England Basketball Association, also based in the City.
The Sheffield Hatters (women) and Sheffield Sharks (pro men), are recognised as the most successful squads in Great Britain throughout their history. In addition, the Junior development structures in the City provide a regular supply of international standard athletes.
Sheffield recently hosted a very successful training camp for the Saudi Arabian Men's Wheelchair team.
