Sheffield is the one of the GB High Performance Centres for Diving and home to the largest number of British elite divers.
Sheffield Diving has produced Olympians at every Olympic Games since 1992 and has provided more Olympic finalists than any other GB sports programme. Sheffield based Diver Leon Taylor won Great Britain's first medal at the Athens Games in the 10m Synchronised event.
The achievements of Sheffield base diving athletes include winning medals at Senior and Junior World Championships, World Cup, Commonwealth Games, Senior and Junior European Championships.
Sheffield Diving is the first British diving programme to use instant replay video feedback, to install harnesses over its springboards and to have a dry-land training facility with synchronised springboards.
