The College has had experience of hosting a variety of international events both sporting and cultural in addition to regularly hosting elite sport training camps. These have been held in term time as well as during the College vacations. Guests experience high grade catering from the College's catering department advised by Jane Griffin (British Olympic Association and Rugby Football League nutritionist).
The College sports and hosting facilities are split into distinct areas.
- Outdoor Sports facilities including athletics centre and 10 artificial and grass pitches, some of which are floodlit
- Leisure Centre with indoor swimming pool, 32 station Cardio suite, free weights room, resistance weights room and spin cycle area
- Pavilion with changing, kitchen, bar an d conferencing facilities
- On site accommodation of a high standard for 200 people with the majority of rooms having en-suite, coffee/tea making facilities and TV.
- Ancillary facilities including a 400 seat theatre with cinema screen, meeting rooms, audio visual facilities, 13 changing rooms, 2 physiotherapy rooms and a medical centre with resident nurse.
- New indoor Sports Hall available form 2009
Visitors can also make use of 13 minibuses and 2 midi coaches available.

- Base for Rotherham Rugby Club when they were in the Premiership
- Annual Base for "Adventure Scientifique"
- Easter and Summer Training Camp for the National Children's' Orchestra
- British Universities Sports Association Rugby League Championship
